Garlic is one of the most widely used ingredients in the kitchen - its pungent and unique aroma has earned it the widely-used nickname, the stinking rose. Along with it's super tasty flavor, common garlic is rich in vitamin C, vitamin B6, and manganese and it also contains some calcium and phosphorus.

Common garlic can be used raw or sauteed, added directly to dishes during preparation or added to a cooked dish for extra mouh-watering flavours. Raw garlic usually has a stronger flavor than cooked; and crushing, chopping, or pureeing garlic releases more of its oils providing a sharper, flavor.
